CEO - Boandik Lodge
Boandik is an aged care service provider located in the South East of South Australia. It was first established 70 years ago and now provides retirement living, home care and residential aged care to over 1000 older people across the Limestone Coast. Boandik’s purpose is to provide high quality, rights based, purpose-led care in a safe, respectful and nurturing environment.
I have been a CEO for 2 1/2 years. Boandik has approximately 470 staff, 80 volunteers and just over 1000 clients and serves the upper, mid and lower South East.
I bring over 40 years of experience across clinical practice, academia, senior management, and executive leadership. Beginning my career as a personal carer, I developed an early and enduring commitment to person‑led care—a commitment that has shaped every stage of my professional journey.
After completing my nursing qualifications, I spent more than a decade in academia, contributing to the development of future health professionals before returning to the aged care sector, where she felt she could make the greatest impact.
I first joined the Board of the Aged Care Innovation Hub in 2024. A highlight of being a member of the Aged Care Innovation Hub is the opportunity to be part of a collaborative community where aged care providers work together, to improve outcomes for older Australians.
From my perspective, being part of a collaborative network, like the Aged Care Innovation Hub, means that I can participate in an organisation that makes a meaningful difference to the lives of older Australians.
I am inspired by the collegiality, support and opportunity to network with a creative group of like minded professionals as we strive to improve the care of older people through innovation.
